WORKING BACKPACKERS
Privacy & cookies
Updated 24 October 2026. This page describes the information used by Working Backpackers and the services that support the site.
Saved plans and accounts
Guest saves and preferences use storage on your browser. Signing in uses Supabase for authentication and account-backed trip saving. Account information and supported saved trip data are processed by that service. Some tools, including the 88-day tracker, keep their records on your device; their backup controls explain what is included.
Newsletter signups
If you subscribe, we store your email address and subscription consent using Supabase to provide the updates you requested. We don’t sell newsletter email addresses. Keep the unsubscribe link supplied after signup; newsletters will also include an unsubscribe link.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics starts only after you choose Allow analytics. It measures visits, pages, referral sources and general device information, using cookies to recognise returning browsers. Analytics cookies and your consent choice last up to six months. We do not send your name, email, saved plans, calculator entries or account identifiers to Google Analytics. Advertising features are disabled.
Use Privacy & cookie settings at the bottom of any page to decline or withdraw permission. Read how Google processes information from partner sites.
Hosting and performance
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and provides Web Analytics to measure visits and loading performance. Hosting and security services process request information to deliver pages and protect the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics is separate from Google Analytics. Cloudflare privacy information.
External services
Some images and maps load from external providers, which receive the requests needed to display them. Employer, booking and social links take you to other services with their own privacy practices. Supabase privacy information.
Questions and requests
Contact David about your information or to request a correction or deletion. Do not include sensitive documents in a public comment. Clearing browser storage removes local information and preferences but does not by itself delete account or newsletter records.
