Which prices are changing?
The following are published prices from 3 November 2026, per site per night for up to six people. A required national parks pass is separate. Match the site type to your tent or vehicle before booking.
| Campground | Unpowered | Powered |
|---|---|---|
| Fortescue Bay | $24 | See campground site types |
| Richardsons Beach / Ranger Creek | $24 | $35 |
| Honeymoon Bay | $18 (tent sites) | Not offered |
| Narawntapu: Bakers Point, Koybaa, Horse Yards | $18 | Not these campgrounds |
| Narawntapu: Springlawn | See site availability | $35 |
How should you book during the change?
Open the official page for the campground you want and follow its booking instructions. Freycinet currently says new bookings for stays from 3 November are paused until the new system is live. A pause does not mean every site is sold out.
If you already have a booking, keep your confirmation and contact the campground about any change you need. Do not create a second booking simply because there is a new website. For travel before 3 November, use the park’s current contact instructions.
Can you still camp free?
Yes. Friendly Beaches at Isaacs Point currently has no camping fee and requires no booking. It is first come, first served, with a maximum stay of 14 nights. A parks pass is still required.
It has pit toilets but no fresh water. Bring drinking water and have a backup campsite if it is full. Free camping does not mean you can pitch anywhere in the national park.
What else needs planning?
Book a suitable site before fixing every day of a driving loop. A powered vehicle site and a tent-only site are not interchangeable, even if you do not need electricity.
Read the live park alert above the facilities list. Seasonal campfire bans began in parts of Tasmania on 26 October 2026, so an ordinary “campfires permitted” icon does not override a current ban. Check the park pass separately from the campsite payment.
