You like being on the move and can find a delivery role that matches your licence and vehicle access.
Own-vehicle costs and unpaid time can reduce what you keep. Loading, deadlines and depot start times make this more than simply driving around.

Load, scan and deliver parcels or goods along a route. Check lifting requirements, vehicle class and depot start time.
Use your own vehicle for deliveries. Work out fuel, insurance, maintenance and unpaid time before comparing the advertised earnings.
If you do not own a car, ask specifically for a supplied-vehicle role. A driving vacancy does not automatically come with a vehicle, and a company car for work does not necessarily cover your commute.
Give the employer your licence country, class and restrictions. Confirm state driving rules and employer approval for the exact vehicle before accepting.
Ask your insurer whether delivery use is covered. Get the payment basis, kilometre allowance, fuel responsibility and damage arrangements in writing before committing.
Delivery work can involve repeated loading, stairs and carrying parcels as well as driving. Depot-based routes begin at the depot, so the commute needs to work for the start of the shift.
Car, van and truck jobs have different licence requirements. Car-based delivery does not call for a truck-driving course. Employer induction covers routes, delivery procedures and the equipment used for the role.
Official recruitment routes checked 17 October 2026. Check the individual role for current openings, work rights and the length of commitment.
Search local delivery roles. Some stores advertise company cars or e-bikes; check the specific store rather than assuming these are available everywhere.

Track my applicationsDomino’s Australian recruitment FAQ says team members are paid under the Fast Food Industry Award. For an adult aged 21 or over at Level 1, the ordinary minimum is $27.81/hour permanent or $34.76/hour casual. The casual Saturday and Sunday rate is $41.72/hour. Casual figures already include loading; super is additional.
These are award minimums from 1 July 2026, checked 23 October 2026, rather than a store’s advertised offer. Age, classification and employment type matter. Own-vehicle costs and applicable delivery allowances should be considered separately.

A verified current Coles delivery rate is not available in this guide. Its employment agreement and the specific role determine pay; the freight rate below should not be used as a Coles estimate. For app-based contracting, compare receipts after fuel, insurance, maintenance and unpaid waiting with all hours committed, rather than treating delivery revenue as an employee wage.
For employee freight-delivery work covered by the Road Transport and Distribution Award, a driver of a rigid vehicle up to 4.5 tonnes GVM is Grade 2. The ordinary adult casual rate is $34.39 an hour.
| Role / shift | Hourly pay |

Adult award rates effective from 1 July 2026, before tax and excluding super. Casual loading is included. Coverage matters: pizza delivery, supermarket delivery and app-based contracting are not automatically covered by this freight award.
